Telespazio VEGA Offers Free ISatPhone-Pro Handset
For a limited period only, subscribe to any of the
Inmarsat GSPS enhanced plans with Telespazio VEGA MSS, and
qualify for a free handset. This offer is available for single SIM
and SCAP plans, and there is no limit on the quantity of handsets
you can claim. In order to qualify, please send your
request for activation of any enhanced GSPS plan to your account
manager.
New Products
Recently released is the vehicular-based BGAN terminal -
the SAFARI,
one of the smallest Land Vehicular terminals operating on the
Inmarsat network. The complete system consists of three fully
integrated units - an IP44 rated Transceiver Unit (TU) with
built-in Wi-Fi, an IP66 rated Handset, and an IP56 rated roof
mounted Antenna Unit (AU). The AU is compact and lightweight, ideal
for vehicles on-the-move. It has been designed for the most
demanding environments - and is easy to carry when travelling to
locations around the world.
The Iridium
EXTREME has recently been launched as their toughest
handset ever. Iridium EXTREME is designed with more features and
more accessories than any other satellite phone on the market. It
is also their smallest handset ever, at 10% thinner and 7% lighter
than the 9555. It has military grade durability, meeting MIL
Standards 610F with a programmable SOS button. It is also the first
handset with real-time tracking and GPS-enabled SOS. Iridium
EXTREME can also connect with Iridium Extend to create a Wi-Fi
hotspot to keep in touch on your trusted devices, anywhere, and has
a top mounted speakerphone and wind resistant microphone.
MSS Portal Live for Multiple Services
The Telespazio VEGA MSS team continues to enhance its
Portal to facilitate the provisioning and billing capability for
all mobile satellite services offered. With the addition of the
Thuraya service (detailed above), this is a major step in offering
a single interface for all MSS services, including the
ability to view all traffic generated from the Inmarsat I4 and
Iridium services.
The new Portal feature is a "Dashboard" function that exceeds
other Distribution Partners' capabilities in offering a single view
for their customers' accounts and activations. The main
functionalities will be a "Top 5" view of customer usage; Traffic
Listing View with export capabilities; Easy Spending Usage
Management; and a higher degree of provisioning functionality to
complement the normal Portal front end. Watch this space!
Our ongoing development of the Portal continues to provide a
unique one-stop-shop for our partners to manage their customers'

MSS Planned Training Courses
Throughout the year, Telespazio VEGA runs a series of
Pre-Sales Courses (one or two days) and Operations and Technical
Support Courses (two days). Both courses have been developed with a
degree of flexibility, so that requests for other topics or a
specific areas focus can be accommodated.
The Pre-Sales Course is aimed at sales people and senior
managers and covers: an overview of the MSS market, product
details, airtime, Telespazio VEGA portal and network, bid support,
targeting customers, positioning and competitor analysis,
marketing, demonstrating MSS solutions.
The Operations and Technical Support Course is aimed at
operations team members including billing, technical and customer
support, and should only be taken when there are active customers.
The course covers: an overview of MSS, Telespazio VEGA portal,
airtime options, creation of accounts and provisioning SIM cards,
spend and usage control, viewing bills, billing data options,
customer support and technical sales, product details, airtime
overview, Telespazio VEGA portal overview, Telespazio VEGA network
and related option, customer support and problem solving,
demonstrating MSS solutions.
